Starting our 2nd week of school

Friday night Milan stayed home with Maddie since she was still sick with the flu while the rest of us went to our Corn Roast at Wiles. It was fun to see everyone and catch up. The kids had a fun time playing together and best of all we ate lots of sweet corn and good food!

Saturday we worked outside. In the afternoon, me, Molly, Megan and Maddie went to Wooster while the boys took a nap with Dad. We went to Drug Mart (pepsi on sale:), Everything Rubbermaid, Wooster Library, Dunham's, Kohl's and WalMart. Then picked up a Papa Johns pizza on our way home for supper. Curt came over and joined us.

After church on Sunday we went out to Baltic's house. Aunt Nee-see (Denise) got hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans and we took out some sweet corn from our garden. Danny and Buck were there too. After supper we walked down to the farm to visit with Grandpa, Grandma, Aunt Nettie and Uncle Walt. The kids love visiting there. They read books, colored and did puzzles. Then we went back up to the house for dessert. Denise got things to make an awesome ice cream dessert. Bananas, ice cream, cool whip, caramel & chocolate toppings, sprinkles, nuts, m&m's, heath bars. Yummm!!

Monday everyone woke up healthy and ready to start the 2nd week of school. After school came Molly, Megan, Adam, Maddie, Mason, Bradon & Logan. Milan picked 15 dozen corn. We sold 10 doz and had the rest for supper and cut off to freeze the rest. I have peppers to start working on. We freeze some whole, half, slices and chopped. Grandpa Ingold called and asked if the kids wanted to go to Kings Island over Labor Day weekend. I think they have told everyone who comes and I'm sure the whole school knows. They are excited and say Grandpa don't even ride on the scarey rides.

Today was our first day with Noah. His mom is going to classes and he is coming on Tues & Thurs afternoons. Him and Eli got along well and played outside all afternoon. Today after school I made nachos & cheese. It was one of my favorite after-school snacks. Tonight we worked on homework. Adam got A+ on his spelling pretest so he don't have to take it again on Friday. He had a sheet of math homework and had to work on addition flashcards. Megan is taking a test in science tomorrow about rocks. She had to know the 3 different kinds and examples. Molly worked on her own homework, read a chapter book and worked on math flash cards also. For bedtime snack we enjoyed Lerch's sugar doughnuts from Grandpa!!!

I finally got my Christmas cards sorted from Dec 2007. I put them in a basket upstairs and every night the kids pray for a family. They were excited to do this again.
