Erie, PA

Eli & I were over at Katanic's before 6AM today. We headed to Erie, PA to get Kaden's cast off. He had surgery about 5 weeks ago. We stopped at Panera Bread for Egg Souffle. I've never had one. Kaden & Eli split a cheese one and Heather and I tried spinach & bacon. I highly recommend them!!! It was the best breakfast I've had in a looonnngg time!! (ok, normally I just have 2 Reese cups and a can of Pepsi!) After our breakfast we got a call from Mike in Columbus and he had his tools stolen in his truck during the night. He is staying at Clarion at Polaris Pky. About 1/2 hour later we had a low tire light come on. Heather & I figured it out like pros!! We filled air in the low tire (for .75) and reset the alarm and off we were again! We got to Shriner's for his 9AM appointment. Bless those people and what they do for the kids!!! Kaden got his cast removed (even after the nurse nicked his arm with the saw)!!

Here is the surgeon & Kaden just minutes after his cast was off:

Then we went to OT for a splint. Kaden will soon start intensive therapy. After the appointment the boys were ready to eat lunch. Kaden wanted us to see the 'ocean.' So we drove to Pisqua Isle. It was a beautiful day and the boys enjoyed a few minutes in the sand and tossing stones into the water. They even touched the water with their toes and discovered it was pretty cold.

*Note: Heather is 36 weeks pregnant!! She looks great!! That baby might be here next Tuesday...stay tuned.

We had lunch at Sally's Hot Dog Stand:
We got home by 4PM. Daddy was here with all the kids when they got off the bus...which they thought was pretty cool. Cooper stayed with Grandma Bonnie for the day. Aunt Joy took Megan shopping to pick out a birthday gift and even got her homework done!! We had fried pepper sandwich's with tomatoes for supper. I stayed home from church with the kids to get homework done and get them to bed.

Thursday and Friday are going to be cleaning days for our potluck here Friday night with Elaine's group. We are planning on about 30 people for supper. We haven't decided on the meat yet to grill. Then on Saturday is Megan's 9th Birthday party for her friends and a cook-out in the evening...for anyone!!

Have a good rest of the week. I probably won't update till next week. Welcome my sister Joy and cousin Sarah (who I just happened to find from Bluffton)!!! My husband actually enjoyed a few laughs on your blog considering he does not like this one little bit!! Both of their blog links are in my comment section.
