That's been our week. We are finally tackling our family room. (Along with many other projects for the week). Gpa and a few of his guys are coming over Friday to hang dry wall. We started this project last March. Milan does not enjoy the carpentry work in our house. So I finally hired it done. Well, he says I hired the easiest part!! We have to do all the dirty work. Tear down plaster. A little insulation and then another layer of those little slats that they used to use in the olden days and another layer of insulation in some parts. I let the kids work on it Tuesday night and that was a mistake. They made the biggest dustiest mess you've ever seen....seriously!! I tried to take a picture and hours later there was still a haze in the room.
Megan has science test on simple machines and math test on geometry on Friday. Everyone has spelling words and reading to do. Maddie (Kindergarten) has to write a sentence about what she likes to do in the snow and also write her first and last name 5 times. Tuesday was dress your best day and eating at school with Adam. Milan went in and ate with Adam. He even stayed for recess...imagine that! For spirit week the kids had to wear their favorite team shirt. We only have Ohio State shirts. :) Then today was dress your best day and eating with Megan. Eli went with Milan and after lunch (chicken patty) they got a tour of Megan's classroom.
We are still enjoying all the snow that is lingering. It's suppose to get really cold the next few days. Like -20 windchill at night. Hopefully our chicken water line don't freeze. We will also be going through lots more firewood to keep us warm.
Hardly anyone showed up at church tonight. It's suppose to be around 0 degrees tonight. The roads are starting to drift and a little accumulation is predicated. I stopped to visit Gma Ingold before church and she said she is feeling fine and worried about me with all my little kids in this cold weather. After church we didn't study for Megan's test. We are hoping for a delay or a snow day off.
Oh--I forgot to mention exciting news we heard last night!! Nate Steiner is repenting. We are so excited for him. He traveled with Milan on his long trips. He is also friends with my brother, Curt.
