The kids could dress up today like farmers and enjoy Harvest Day at school. The girls wanted their hair braided and some wore boots. I went into the school for Maddie's Kindergarten class and did the games. We tossed big marshmallows into plastic pumpkins--the boys won 2-1. We played a game called 'boo who' and I had a big sheet with 2 little 'eye' holes and then had a group of kids behind the sheet and the kids in front had to guess who's eyes were peeking through. Then we played an apple musical chair game. It went soooo fast and they even enjoyed a yummy snack. Elise's mom is head room mom and was there too with Stacey Smith and a few other parents that stopped in. I went to each of the other kids rooms to take a picture and see if they were having fun.
I called Milan on my way home from the school (who stayed home with 3 sleeping kids!!) and he said I couldn't get into the driveway that their was a 4 car pile up right in front of our house and they were all over our yard and driveway. He wasn't kidding. 3 state patrols and the 4 cars in the crash and then their parents all started arriving. The first high school kid (guy) who caused the whole thing only had his car for 1 week. It was all high school kids. No one was hurt, thankfully. So I started receiving phone calls from people wondering what was going on here. I'm am glad people checked in because I would want them to be here if I needed help. It took a few hours till everyone was gone and the kids sat on the step and watched it all happen. Wondering why the moms called the dads to come, too. OHHHH!!!
Patrol with the kid who started the whole thing:
After all that, I finally got to sit down and try to figure out my high speed. Embarq sent good instructions but I still failed to figure it out right the first time. So I'm on the phone trying to figure it out with Danny for like 20 minutes. Bless him. We tried so many things and I just kept getting error messages. Milan walks in the door and wonders why I have a filter on the phone line to my router. I don't know why. Then all of a sudden....it's here!!! My email pops up in less than a second. I checked a couple other sites (like Jill's web page) that normally take me hours to upload and bam! it was there!!!! I'm so excited!! We have to go to dinner!! I'll put up lots of pictures when I have more time!!
Then we joined the Baltic's at Village Inn. Not a huge turnout tonight. Our family, Gpa & Gma Baltic, Aunt Nettie, Uncle Walt, Uncle Pete & Aunt Karen, Uncle Fred & Aunt Mary and Evan. The kids were given special attention!! Eli even begged Uncle Walt for 'dollars.'
