Yep! Milan was worried that all my online paying bills and checking statements was trouble and someone would steal our identity. So I get a call from Smithville Town & Country co-op that they were robbed over the weekend and someone got away with their safe which just happened to have our check inside from buying chicken feed!! The bank didn't think they could get a whole lot with my checking number so we're just watching and waiting.
Wednesday was a HOT day. I think it was almost 90 degrees out with lots of humidity. The kids were so hot in school. When all 7 kids got off the bus they had a Popsicle and found swimsuits for everyone and played on the slip 'n slide. Polly Uhler stopped to drop something off on her way home from work and chatted a little about her engagement. I'm so happy for her and she seems so happy. It's always so encouraging to see how God works in every one's lives and future. We had a busy night of homework before going to church. Megan and Adam did spelling words. Megan has a social studies quiz on Friday about Authority. Maddie has to read a poem (Itsy Bitsy Spider). Molly had math homework that I had to get my calculator out to check over her work!! In case you don't know, I totally despise homework every single night of the week. And my pet peeve is to get their weekly papers back and see that over half of their papers are graded together in class. So that time should have been used to do homework and the teacher can grade the papers at night!!! LOL. I don't mind the spelling words and reading nightly and homework 1 night a week BUT that's it!! Anyway, that's my vent for the day. We are listening to conference tapes this month on Wednesday night at Rittman and Smithville church on Thursday nights. So we went last night and the kids went to Luginbuhl's and then tonight they go to Church and the kids come here.
Today I need to work on my meals. Callie and Cooper are taking a morning nap and I really got online to email Andrea and Suzanne our list of meal info. We are taking meals to 12 families tomorrow. I'm glad I'm in a group with Steph, Andrea & Suz because it forces me to get it done. Once the meals are done it's actually kind of fun. We get together and usually have lunch and chat for about an hour (or more) and then each load up the kids and food and deliver them to families. My kids have really learned to enjoy it and the older kids wish they could be home from school to go with us. We take to families with new babies, surgeries, thinking of you, etc.
